New items & more at SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop

The SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop, located at 636 Center Street, inside the Historic Venue on 7th, is a place full of local findings. The SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop offers fresh seasonal produce, jams, jellies, lamb, beef, BBQ sauces and rubs, maple syrup, wines, and crafts. The beauty of the SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop is that all these items come from different farms located in Bowling Green and surrounding counties and are brought all together in one location. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. you can find the SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop open for business.

We are excited to announce some of our new offerings that are available now! Bluegrass Grazing has stocked up the SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop with plentiful pickings of ground lamb, ground beef, sirloin, burger patties, T-bone, and leg of lamb, just to mention a few. Looking for something on the lighter side? Grams Farms has their savory chicken available. These healthier and tastier options sit inside of the SoKY Marketplace Crop Shop.

SoKY Marketplace also offers free educational incubator courses at the Historic Venue on 7th. SoKY Marketplace’s goal is to offer classes, certifications, and resources to our local farmers and culinary entrepreneurs and members of the community. On April 17 at 1 p.m. we are featuring All Samplings Certification hosted by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Office. Incubator courses are always being added, so stay tuned.

The SoKY Marketplace offers a place to help culinary entrepreneurs, individuals that are contemplating the idea of starting their culinary dream, and culinary entrepreneurs that want to expand their empire. The SoKY Marketplace Community Commercial Kitchen has the rental space to execute these plans and operations. To rent the Community Commercial Kitchen, email sokymarketplace@gmail.com. From there, the future renter will receive an application. Once the application is completed and returned, a tour of the kitchen will be scheduled. If this is something that would fit your culinary needs, you can begin scheduling rentals for the SoKY Marketplace Community Commercial Kitchen.

Need a place to host a baby shower or rehearsal dinner?
