BAC – Spin classes offer great cardio workout

Spin classes offer great cardio workout

As they say, “Cardio is hardio,” and if you’re like me you sometimes have to use some humor and an upbeat playlist to get in the mood to do it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an essential part of a healthy life, and I do sometimes crave a challenging cardio session, but I can’t always find the motivation to do it on my own. This is one of the main reasons why I suggest incorporating Group Fitness classes into your regular workout routine. More specifically, try incorporating a Cardio Spin class. It typically takes place in a room filled with stationary spin bikes that allow you to simulate a real bike ride with flat roads, hill climbs, and sprint. It’s a great workout that burns anywhere from 300-500 calories, and it’s easy on the joints. Each

bike setup differs, but here at BAC our bikes allow you to adjust the bike seat position to your specific height and also a visual monitor that displays your RPM, watts, time elapsed, and gear which makes it easy to follow along and track your progress throughout the class. For any beginner spinners, I would suggest starting with a classic spin class so you can learn basic cues and get used to riding on a spin bike. Below are a few of the more advanced level spin classes that we offer on the current schedule here at Bowling Green Athletic Club.
