Franklin, Kentucky will be on fire this summer with the rock band Hinder headlining at Summer Vibes Music Festival. And to double the vibes, the 80’s band, Quiet Riot, will be the supporting act. The festival is in its 6th year and will be held in the streets of downtown Franklin on August 22nd. Summer Vibes is not a genre-specific festival – we combine Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, Country, and Punk Pop to give all attendees something to enjoy. The beer garden and food trucks will open at noon with the annual Songwriters Showcase beginning at 12pm. Local songwriters performing include Josh Thurman, Todd Caudill, Tom McClure, Audrey Hubbard Spillman, and Lily Jackson.
Summer Vibes Music Festival is proud to present Hinder as our 2026 Headliner. These Multi-Platinum American Rockers are well known for their hit, Lips of an Angel. Hinder released their debut album, “Extreme Behavior,” in 2005 and it climbed to #6 on the Billboard 200 Chart and has since been certified 3x Platinum. They have shared the stage with Aerosmith, Nickleback, 3 Doors Down, Papa Roach and many others. Their sophomore effort, “Take It To The Limit,” surpassed their debut by peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200.
We are also proud to welcome the iconic 80’s rock band Quiet Riot to the Summer Vibes stage as the supporting act. Quiet Riot is a rock & roll phenomenon famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine. The Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album “Metal Health.”
Another 2026 Summer Vibes artist is Arts Fishing Club, a Nashville-based indie-folk band led by Christopher Kessenich, known for energetic live performances and heartfelt storytelling. Their music blends rock, folk, and indie, drawing comparisons to Mt. Joy and The Head and the Heart. Notable releases include the album “Rothko Sky” and popular songs such as “Tupelo Honey” and “New York Heat.” The band has performed at festivals including Bonnaroo and Summerfest. The name honors Kessenich’s grandfathers, symbolizing perseverance.
To round out the lineup are regional bands. Fluorescents is a rising Pop Punk band from Chicago who strives to fuel the next wave of pop-punk music and keep the torch burning strong for generations to come. Rye Davis fills our country slot. Davis’s sound is described as a blend of classic country and contemporary styles, showcasing his smooth baritone voice and masterful songwriting. Ivory Layne is on the lineup. She calls herself the Renaissance Woman of Pop. Crafting a unique voice entirely her own, Layne has made a name for herself in Nashville and London across multiple genres. To round out the lineup we have Chesle, who is another Nashville-based artist. He’s a genre-melding architect, quietly building a world where pop, hip-hop, folk, and alt collide like they were always meant to.
There is no admission to the festival, which is being presented by Franklin-Simpson Renaissance, Simpson County Tourism, and American Legion Post #62 of Franklin. The City of Franklin is our stage sponsor for the third year in a row.
