Summer Nights Concert Series is a free, family-friendly event that boasts live music, dancing, and food trucks. The concerts kicked off in June and will run select Friday nights through August. Summer Nights Concerts have been happening on the square in Franklin, Kentucky for over 25 years. We have had the opportunity to host some phenomenal artists, and this year is no different. The July schedule consists of The Band Entice on the 10th. This band is new to Franklin this year and I expect them to be a crowd favorite. Layla Spring will be on stage on the 17th and she is also new to Franklin. She is young, energetic and excited to make her debut in Franklin. On July 24th, Four on the Floor comes back to the bandstand and always generates upbeat tunes that have everyone out on the dance floor, even the ones that are normally not out there.
The 2026 Summer Nights Concerts are presented by Franklin-Simpson Renaissance and sponsored by Ohio Valley Insurance, Simpson County Tourism, Franklin Bank & Trust, Cole Lumber, and Hunt Ford. We are very lucky to have these local businesses involved with our event each year. The generosity of these businesses is the reason Franklin Simpson Renaissance can put on such a talented group of bands each year and provide free live music in the beautiful downtown historic district.
As always, plenty of food choices will be on College Street from 6pm to 9pm or you can come to town early and enjoy dinner at one of the downtown restaurants. Chair rentals are available for $2 so if you forget yours, no worries, we have you covered. The Franklin First United Methodist Church opens up their restrooms just about every Friday night from 7pm to 9pm and there are also porta-potties available.
