Fashion forward from Pappagallo

It’s time to look ahead to a new year of fashion. I always pause at year’s end to set new goals and resolutions for the year ahead. Recently, I have had spring on my mind. My spring orders are almost complete. I always try to leave a little wiggle room in my open to buy to bring in a new vendor or hot trend. This past year a record number of us traveled near and far. I predict we will see this trend continue. Many of us are finally taking our dream trips.

When I was buying for Spring 2024, I was dreaming of traveling to far-flung exotic locales.

I selected items to create the ideal travel wardrobe. Versatile fashions to take you from airport to your final destination. Clothing that makes you feel chic, confident and put-together from take-off to touchdown.

Resolve to finally curate a functional, fashionable wardrobe that is always ready to go. Look for classic, elegant pieces with a few fun, trendy items thrown in. Color – pink, powder blue, pistachio, or sunny yellow will elevate your neutral basics.

Please don’t forget your accessories. They are truly the icing on the cake. Just adding one or two items can take you from ordinary to “Wow!”

Resolve to “get fit.” No, not at the gym (which is also a good resolution) but make sure your clothes fit properly. Get your pants and skirts hemmed, waists nipped in, and sleeves shortened. Tailoring is what takes your style to the next level.

Remember, we get one chance to make a first impression – your attire speaks volumes.

My favorite designer, Coco Chanel, said it best: “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”

In conclusion, I resolve to help you look and feel your best in 2024 – wherever it takes you.
