Family Enrichment Center presents… It’s time for Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run!

It’s time to run, walk, crawl and wade your way through three miles of muddy obstacles to support Family Enrichment Center’s 11th Annual Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run, presented by Henkel!

Our mission at Family Enrichment Center is to empower families and prevent child abuse. Being a grassroots agency, fundraising events like Mud Happens are critical to providing ongoing programs. Last year we served over 2,500 children and parents from this area! All of FEC’s programs and services are offered no cost/affordable for families and include Nurturing Parenting Classes, Parent Support Groups, Adoption Support Services, Parents as Teachers (Little Learners Program), Supervised Visitation Services, domestic violence victim support & education, as well as income-based childcare and free respite care through our Wee Care Childcare Center. Our goal is to promote healthy family functioning, increase public awareness, and provide knowledge and sensitivity surrounding child abuse so we can help families be the best they can be.

You can help support Family Enrichment Center and the well-being of children and families in South Central Kentucky by joining us at the 11th Annual Mud Happens on August 26, 2023 at Phil Moore Park. The morning kicks off with some good old-fashioned competition with our timed heat at 8am and is followed by our non-competitive heats starting at 8:15am and every 15 minutes after until 10:30am. You can join the muddy fun as a participant, volunteer, sponsor or spectator! Early Bird pricing is in effect through July 4th and starts at $45 with discounts for groups of four or more. Registration can be completed online or through a printable form at www.familyenrichmentcenter.com/mudhappens.

Family Enrichment Center is supported by the Cabinet of Health and Family Services, Kappa Deltas, Kentucky Bar Foundation, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky, United Way of Southern Kentucky, WHAS Crusade for Children and local contributions.
