Fashion resolutions

Here we are again at the end of another year. It’s New Year’s Eve and we find ourselves vowing to change something for the coming year. Most of us think about exercising more, eating healthy, but what about getting your wardrobe in shape? Many of us have gotten into a fashion rut. It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and try at least one bold new trend. It can be a new color, silhouette, neckline, jacket, shoe or belt.

It’s important to try something new, but at the same time do not neglect your basics. You should be able to go to your closet and pull out the perfect black pants to build your outfit. If you are not a fan of black pants, it can be denim or any other neutral color – navy, white or gray. Remember, you cannot get dressed without some good basics.

Invest in quality classics to last. Price matters, but it’s best to focus on price per wear (the price of an item divided by the number of times you wear it). Remember, you get what you pay for – those expensive black pants become a bargain when you wear them weekly for years.

Maintain your investment with proper cleaning and tailoring – it’s worth it.

Don’t forget the ABC rule – always be comfortable. Proper fit and the right amount of stretch is the key. The past few years have taught us all to appreciate soft “feel-good” fabrics.

Ditch the old rules – dare to wear suede in the summer, pair black with navy and step out in white after Labor Day.

Accessories and color go a long way in setting you apart. Remember, we get one chance to make a first impression – your attire speaks volumes.

In conclusion, I resolve to help all my customers look and feel their best in 2023.

Here’s to your most stylish year ever.
