Historic RailPark and Train Museum – “Summer of ’67”

Red carpet movie showing at RailPark

The Historic RailPark and Train Museum is hosting a red carpet showing of the film “Summer of ’67” on September 8 at 3 and 6 p.m. The museum’s Grand Lobby will be transformed into a theater for the day! We will have two showings with 120 seats each, perfect for large groups.

“Summer of ’67” tells the story of men and women navigating the turbulent times of the Vietnam War. The film focuses on three relationships torn apart by the draft. Can these relationships withstand the war? If they can, will they ever be the same? Come join us at the RailPark to see the outcome and get a glimpse of America in the 1960s.

Directed by faith-based filmmakers Fred and Sharon Wilharm, “Summer of ’67” brings the 60s to life. The film explores the characters’ relationships with each other, themselves, and God. Struggling to hold on, the characters exercise their strength in ways they aren’t prepared for.

This film holds a special place in our hearts because several scenes of Summer of ’67 were filmed right here at the RailPark! The way it highlights our beautiful railcars is truly something to see.

We invite everyone in the community to come to the RailPark and see “Summer of ’67” with us. This event offers a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else in Bowling Green! The Grand Lobby is a beautiful space to take your family and friends for a night out. The group rate makes it a great event for large organiza

tions. Private showings are available for groups that would require all of the available seats. We especially encourage churches and military groups to reach out for group tickets.

Tickets are $12 each or $10 for groups of 10 or more. All tickets include popcorn and a drink! This red carpet showing is a fundraiser for the RailPark, so it’s a fantastic way to give back to the local community while enjoying a show!

Please contact us by phone at 270-745-7317 or by email at visitorservices@historicrailpark.com for more information. You can reserve your tickets at historicrailpark.com or by visiting us at the RailPark at 401 Kentucky Street in Bowling Green.
