If you’re looking for a way to “Super Charge Your Business” through networking and education, then the South Central Kentucky Business Expo is for you. There will be over 70 exhibitors at the event, which will be held on Tuesday, August 29, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ralphie’s Fun Center in Glasgow. You’ll have a super time and even learn from a “Super Chef.”

The day will begin with a breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. During that time, guests will hear from Chef Darnell Ferguson, owner of “Super Chefs” Restaurant in Louisville. Ferguson has a fascinating story of triumph over adversity to become a world-renowned business owner. From being homeless to owning three restaurants and cooking in the White House, Ferguson will inspire this year’s expo attendees. Ferguson has appeared on numerous cooking shows including Rachel Ray, Bobby Flaw Show and Guy’s Grocery Game.

This year, the Expo is partnering with local schools to enhance the experience of those in attendance as well as provide valuable training for the students. The Barren County High School and Glasgow High School Culinary Arts students will provide breakfast for those attending the morning speaker session. The Chamber’s partnership with the Culinary Arts Departments was a perfect fit with this year’s speaker, who may visit with the students and possibly offer some guidance based on his experience, said Expo Chair Karisa Peterson.

The BCHS students will serve French toast casserole and sparkling breakfast punch, and the GHS students will provide fresh fruit and crème fraiche. This will showcase the remarkable talents and abilities of our local students while providing a delicious meal for attendees.

The mission of the South Central Kentucky Business Expo remains focused on getting local businesses to connect with other local opportunities. This mission is accomplished through bringing business leaders into one location to network. By setting up booths, businesses are able to showcase what they offer and how they can partner with others to grow opportunities for all involved. The expo also focuses on education through bringing in a keynote speaker each year.

Admission to the keynote speaker session will be free and will also include breakfast. However, seating will be limited to 50 people and admission will be by ticket only. Additional tickets may be available for purchase. Information is forthcoming on reserving your seat for this event.

Exhibitors will be open for networking and to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Set up will be Monday afternoon only.

This year’s title sponsor is Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Glasgow, Sleep Inn & Suites and Comfort Inn & Suites in Cave City. This year’s speaker sponsor is Citizens First Bank.
