Re-Elect Rex McWhorter 4th District Magistrate

When I decided to run for 4th District Magistrate 12 years ago, I did so because I have a desire to serve the people of Warren County. This community is near and dear to me and my family, and I have a desire to see it thrive. I moved to Bowling Green 57 years ago, and in 1973 I completed my agriculture degree from WKU. Soon after I graduated, I married June (Rafferty), and the Lord has blessed us with four children and eight grandchildren. Most of my kids and grandkids also live in Warren County. I have made long-lasting memories and have been a part of many wonderful organizations over the years including Jaycees, Red Cross, and the American Private Enterprise Program. I was also blessed to coach my sons and many other kids when I coached in the Warren County Pee Wee, Little League, and Babe Ruth organizations, and I have made and maintained many lifelong relationships from my time as a coach.

Re-Elect Rex McWhorter 4th District Magistrate.

During my career, I have worked with wonderful organizations in our community including Bowling Green Bank and Trust, Federal Land Bank, and Gary Force. During my time with Federal Land Bank, I helped Warren County farmers with agricultural financing. I was also a partner in a mortgage company and helped many Warren County residents purchase homes during my 20 years in business.

During my terms as 4th District Magistrate for Warren County, we have had a lot of growth and success, and as a magistrate my primary role and my personal goal is to protect your tax dollars and your property. In my 11 years as a magistrate on the Warren County Fiscal Court, we have done the following:

•Balanced the budget every year

•Lowered your taxes nine of 11 years

•Created jobs through Workforce Development

•Established rural fiber throughout the county

•Established the County Outdoor Warning System (COWS)

•Purchased new body cams for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department

•Blacktopped hundreds of miles of Warren County roads

•Built tornado shelters at Phil Moore Park and Ed Spear Park

•Established School Resource Officers in Warren County Schools

•Created the Warren County Fire Department and hired full time firefighters to shorten emergency response time

Warren County is the fastest growing county in Kentucky, and we need experienced leadership to manage the growth of the county. Warren County is my home and your home, and I would like to continue to make Warren County the best place to live, work, play and worship. I would appreciate your vote and continued support on May 19th.
