Summer means live music, food trucks, and a crowd in downtown Franklin, Kentucky on Friday nights. Franklin-Simpson Renaissance kicks off their summer season in June each year with the Summer Nights Concert Series. This event has been going on in Franklin for over 25 years now, so we have Friday night fun down to a science. Each year we bring high-energy cover bands to the Historic Downtown area for a free, family-friendly night of music, dancing, and food!!
Our season kicks off on June 13th with the Brandon Harris Band. Brandon and Franklin’s Tom Killen love to kick off the season each year and do the first concert. On June 20th, The Nashville Blue Tones will make their debut on the bandstand, playing a very wide variety dance music, and on June 27th, Dizzorderly Conduct will return to Franklin playing lots of everyone’s favorite hits.
Summer Nights Concerts are presented by Franklin-Simpson Renaissance and sponsored by Ohio Valley Insurance, Simpson County Tourism, Franklin Bank & Trust, Cole Lumber, and Hunt Ford. We have local restaurants that serve a variety of foods from fish plates to steak. If you don’t make it down in time to enjoy the restaurants, food trucks will be set up and ready by 5pm. The music goes from 7pm to 9pm. Chair rentals are available so if you forget yours, we have you covered.
