Several times a year I make a trip to Apparel Market in Atlanta. Often, while there, a sales representative from some company will look at my name badge and say, “Kentucky, home of the Kentucky Derby,” and I proudly say “Yes!” To me, the Kentucky Derby means a day of beautiful dresses, elaborate hats and fast horses. People from all over the world visit Kentucky on Derby Day. As a small business owner, it makes me very proud to have my customers wear a beautiful dress from my boutique to the Derby or a local Derby party.
