There’s something for everyone at the Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival

As the leaves begin to change in Logan County, Kentucky, our community celebrates our annual Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival. Each year since 1941, residents of Logan County have come together in the fall to remember our once-prized crop, honor our unique heritage, and celebrate our community. This year, our festival is complete with over 25 events in three and a half weeks.

Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival

Our 2023 Festival kicked off September 22 with the Grand Opening of the 1973 50-year time capsule at the Historic Logan County Courthouse. The Queens Pageant and Little Mister and Miss Pageant are crowd favorites and will be taking place September 23 and 30, respectively. Join us on October 1 for the Historic Homes Tours where you can tour six homes and six churches in the beautiful downtown historic district of Russellville. New this year, we are excited to host Haunted Trolley Tours on October 6, 13, and 27, where guests will hear stories that are sure to leave you surprised! Fan favorites, the Jesse James 5K Walk and Run, the Golf Scramble, and the Road Rally will all take place October 7. Historic Cemetery Tours will take place October 10 and 12, where 13 significant Logan County natives will be depicted along the hour-long tour. On October 13, the Senior Stroll and Special Needs Awareness Walk will be held as free events at the Carrico Park Square.

All this will lead up to Parade Day on October 14. The day will start with the iconic Jesse James Bank Robbery Reenactment at 9:30am. At 10:30am the Festival Parade will make its way through downtown Russellville, celebrating local dignitaries, sports teams, clubs, businesses, organizations, and showcasing antique cars and vehicles. Following the parade, the Grand Stage will host festival games and karaoke. Throughout the day, attendees can visit the over 100 vendors and merchants who will be set up around the square and at the Historic Logan County Courthouse. Over 25 food trucks will be in attendance until 4pm.

Details of all these events, plus many more, can be found on the official festival website, www.tobaccofest.org or by stopping by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. During your visit you can stock up on all festival apparel including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more. Be sure to check out our 2023 themed merchandise that displays our festival theme: Peace, Love, & Logan. We look forward to seeing you soon at our Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival!
