Pappagallo – Spring forward!

The calendar may still say winter, but spring has sprung at Pappagallo. Boxes are arriving daily filled with fabulous new fashions. Here is a peek inside…

Leather is not just for winter anymore – it’s also for now into spring. Look for white, pastels and brights instead of the typical black. A knife-pleated skirt would be a great addition to spark up your wardrobe with boots for now and sandals later. A white leather shirt paired with jeans, pink leather shorts and matching Moto jacket, and a butter yellow leather shirt dress are just a few styles arriving this month.

I don’t want to say skinny jeans are dead, but I do think it’s time to add some new looks to your denim wardrobe. Relaxed is the key word here. Straight to wide legs, all lengths, high rise, low rise, dark to light rinse are all key players.

Tailored suits (I’m talking shoulder pads) have made a strong comeback. Brights – hot pink, orange, all shades of green dominate, and head-to-toe color is where it’s at. Too much, you say? Go for softer pastels, neutrals or white – just keep it tonal. Relaxed blazers and slouchy trousers give suiting a modern feel.

Add some flower power to your life – pin an oversized posy on your lapel, metal flower jewelry or a bold floral print to bloom.

Fringe is still in the limelight – as trim or an all-over fringed dress, keep on fringing.

Eyelet and sheer fabrics elevate the most casual of looks. Monochromatic and flowing are important to carry this off.

A few more trends to try – Ombré is the new tie-dye and midi-lengths segue way into maxis.

Always remember fashion is cyclical, trends will come and go, but style is forever.

Here’s to a fun-filled fashionable spring 2023!
