Looking forward to 2021

This is the time of year I usually start thinking of a new exercise regimen and kale smoothie recipes. But I think we can all agree 2020 was not the ”usual.” I’m entering the new year cautiously optimistic. Instead of listing personal and fashion resolutions, I’m setting intentional goals.

I vow to spend more time with family and friends. The pandemic has forced us to stay home, and, hopefully, strengthened family ties. Others that have been separated from loved ones for safety’s sake are counting down the days until they can be together.

I will shop small and locally. I have been humbled by the support shown by so many of you. I am trying to “pay it forward” in gratitude. I have discovered an amazing group of like-minded entrepreneurs. Don’t miss our ongoing pop-up shopping days.

I will appreciate and support my community. As I have watched events unfold across our country, I have come to realize how blessed I am to call Bowling Green home.

I cannot leave you without a few fashion goals for 2021.

Don’t save the best for last. Dress like everyday is opening night. Don’t save your best clothes for a special occasion. No one is promised tomorrow – wear your “good” pearls for your next Zoom call.

Dress for the size you are right now – not the past or future you. If the dreaded COVID 15 has crept up on you, get some clothes that fit. You will look and feel better. On the other hand, if you have used your time to improve your shape, purchase that smaller size or have your clothes tailored to fit.

Vow to dress more intentionally. Everyday we get the opportunity to express ourselves through our fashion choices. What you wear can make or break your day. It’s one small detail we can control right now to boost our happiness and confidence.

I pray the upcoming year allows us to get back to our social events we love – weddings, parties, concerts, sporting events – a simple day of shopping and lunch with our friends.

My staff and I will continue to be available for your fashion needs – striving to give you the best possible shopping experience.

The song goes, “It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me, and I’m feeling good.”

 Bring it on, 2021.
