For over 40 years, the Builders Association has been bringing you the Parade of Homes… and despite the challenges 2020 has brought, we are able to once again showcase the quality craftsmanship you’ve come to expect from our Registered Builders and their partners, embodying some of the best new construction our area has to offer.
This self-guided tour of homes gives the community the opportunity to visit houses and see what’s hot in design and other trends. We’ve got formal dining rooms with shiplap walls and shiplap fireplaces. We have custom-designed ceilings and beautiful tile floors, luxury baths, and covered porches. And you can’t forget those home offices that have been made popular again this year. Whether you are looking to build or remodel or just looking for a few design ideas to help spruce up your home, you’ll find something of interest in these homes
But that’s just a glimpse of what you’ll find on this tour featuring luxurious custom homes built and designed for individual families and spec homes that are built and designed to be sold to the public. You’ll see furniture staging and so many other design accessories to provide fresh ideas! These homes are built by professional Registered Builders and subcontractors. In fact, all homes in the Parade are built by general contractors who have earned Registered Builder designation by meeting a stringent set of criteria including building education and experience.
Presented by the Builders Association of South Central Kentucky and sponsored by FirstBank, Bowling Green Home Furnishings and WBKO, this is an opportunity to see new colors, building products, home fashions, and much more.
Tickets are only $10 (children under twelve get in free). Tickets are good for all four days and entrance into all homes on the tour. Please note that in order to better meet COVID-19 challenges, tickets will not be for sale at the homes this year but can be purchased online at www.bascky.com or in advance at the Builders Association office at 859 Lovers Lane from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday or during the open hours of the Parade. The Parade Magazine will also be available at the Builders Association and online at www.bascky.com and will include the Parade Route, info on the Registered Builder, the home, and decorator information that is known at the time of printing. And we are proud to say that each year a portion of the proceeds are donated to a non-profit community organization. Realtors® Hope for Hunger will be the recipient of this year’s donation.
Mark your calendar now. Parade hours are Thursday and Friday 5pm-8pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Don’t forget that homes can be toured in any order. Just remember to get your ticket first!
