Hospice of Southern Kentucky invites the community to join us for a special night of purpose and celebration at the 6th Annual Lotus Award Gala, presented by Franklin Bank & Trust. This elegant annual event brings people together in support of compassionate hospice and palliative care while honoring those whose generosity and service have made a meaningful difference in our region.
The Lotus Award Gala is more than a beautiful evening out. It is an opportunity to support the patients and families served by Hospice of Southern Kentucky each day. Funds raised through ticket sales, sponsorships, table reservations, donations, and auction participation help ensure that individuals and families facing serious illness receive the care, comfort, and support they need during some of life’s most meaningful moments.
This year’s gala will also shine a light on an extraordinary family whose impact has been felt throughout our community. Hospice of Southern Kentucky is proud to honor The Wedge Family – Denny, Carol, Paul, and Julie – as the recipients of the 2026 Romanza Johnson Lotus Award. Their continued commitment to service, community involvement, and support of Hospice of Southern Kentucky represents the spirit of the Lotus Award and the mission behind this special event.
The 2026 Lotus Award Gala will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Knicely Conference Center. The evening will begin with a reception and silent auction at 5pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. The award presentation and program will begin at 7pm. Guests can look forward to an inspiring evening of fellowship, dining, celebration, and community support.
A highlight of the evening will be the silent auction, featuring a variety of items and experiences generously donated by local businesses, supporters, and community partners. Guests are encouraged to participate in the auction, with online bidding available, as another meaningful way to support the work and mission of Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
