Honoring 9/11: A Tribute

On the morning of Thursday, September 11th, the community will gather at the 9/11 Memorial, located in front of the judicial building downtown, to reflect and remember. The public is invited to attend a brief but moving memorial ceremony beginning with a wreath-laying by members of the local JROTC. A solemn processional will then make its way to the Summerhouse, where a field of 2,977 American flags is displayed to represent the lives lost on that day. The ceremony concludes with the playing of Taps, a poignant moment of reflection. All are encouraged to attend, pause in remembrance, and honor those who were lost and those who continue to serve.

Squash & Gobble: A Must-Visit Fall Festival

On Saturday, September 20th, downtown Greenville will burst with life during Squash & Gobble, the city’s signature fall arts and crafts festival. This free, family-friendly event features over 200 artisan and food vendors, live music throughout the day, and an expanded Kid Zone filled with bounce houses and engaging activities for all ages. Festivalgoers can shop for handmade goods, enjoy delicious festival foods, relax with live entertainment, and take in the charm of historic downtown Greenville.
