How to Travel in Style: Pappagallo Clothing helps

Summer vacation has arrived. The details are finalized – hotel, transportation, excursions. Regardless if you are traveling by plane, train or automobile, you want to arrive stylishly.

Let Pappagallo help get you vacay ready!

Beach, mountains or city, it’s time to pack.

Packing clothing for a trip is no one’s favorite part of a trip. With many airlines charging higher fees for checked bags, packing light has become an issue of economics, not just space.

Knowing what to pack to dress comfortably and still look stylish will help you feel confident without having to take your entire wardrobe.

Define your style – don’t try to change your style. If you don’t wear it at home, it’s unlikely you will wear it on your trip.

Implement the 50/50 rule – pack 50% neutral base layers (like denim or white linen) and 50% colorful statement items.

This can be personalized to your preferences and climate where you are traveling. Look for items that have multiple uses – an oversized white linen blouse can be used as swimwear coverup, jacket or tie at waist with jeans. Jean jackets can also be your go-to coverup from plane ride to dinner dates.

Remember to arrive in style – wear your comfortable (but still cute) matching knit set. Add your outer layer of choice and a smashing scarf to feel chic.

Footwear is another important consideration. The “rule of 3” is a general guideline –

Stylish athletic shoe, supportive casual (support is key here – too flat can be a disaster), and wedge or stacked heel for “dress up”. Wear your most comfortable of the three to travel in.

You may also want to throw in a lightweight flip-flop for poolside.

Packing cubes are a game changer for keeping you organized.

Accessories and a few print pieces will transform your attire daily. Lightweight scarves and a cashmere poncho make great coverups for plane ride and chilly or air-conditioned places.

Be sure to include many non-wrinkle and fast-dry clothing, as well as natural fibers (linen, cotton, silk) for maximum comfort.
