Greenville’s Summer Concert Series… The ultimate list of summer concerts

Feel the Rhythm: Kalimba Leads Greenville’s Summer Concert Series

Greenville Tourism presents Kalimba

Get ready to move to the music this summer as Greenville’s much-anticipated Summer Concert Series returns with an electrifying lineup—headlined by Kalimba: The Spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire on Saturday, June 28. This free outdoor concert series brings live music, community spirit, and themed fun to downtown Greenville, and this year’s kickoff event is pulling out all the stops.

Kalimba isn’t your average tribute band. Widely regarded as one of the most authentic Earth, Wind & Fire tribute groups in the country, Kalimba captures the energy, precision, and vibrant soul of the legendary band with incredible musicianship and flair. With a powerhouse horn section, flawless vocals, and dynamic stage presence, they breathe new life into iconic hits like “September,” “Shining Star,” and “Let’s Groove.”

And the party doesn’t stop at the music—Greenville is going full-on 1970s for Kalimba’s performance. Concertgoers are encouraged to dress in their grooviest bell bottoms, paisley prints, and platform shoes for the Best Dressed ’70s Contest, with fun prizes and big bragging rights on the line. It’s the perfect opportunity to dance the night away in true Earth, Wind & Fire fashion.

For those 21 and over, a beer garden will be available, offering a refreshing way to toast a great evening. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets, grab dinner from local food vendors, and soak in the vibrant downtown atmosphere as the music fills the air.

The series continues with two more themed nights of outstanding entertainment and playful competition:

Alex Miller – Saturday, July 12
Rising country artist Alex Miller, known for his time on American Idol, brings heartfelt lyrics, a traditional-meets-modern country sound, and Kentucky charm to the Greenville stage. With a rich voice and magnetic presence, Miller has become a favorite across the region and is sure to delight fans of all ages.

Opening the night will be Muhlenberg County’s own CJ Sparks, a local favorite whose blend of classic country roots and contemporary style is the perfect warm-up to Miller’s main act. Sparks brings charisma and authenticity to the stage, adding even more local flair to the evening’s festivities.

In keeping with Miller’s classic country style, the night will feature a Best Mullet Contest—because what says country more than a little business in the front and party in the back?

The Crashers – Saturday, August 2
One of the most popular party bands in the region, The Crashers will close out the series with high-energy covers spanning pop, rock, funk, and dance favorites. Their dynamic performances and infectious energy make them a crowd favorite every summer.

To add to the fun, Greenville is throwing it back to the neon era with a Best ’80s Outfit Contest. Dust off your leg warmers, tease your hair sky-high, and channel your inner Madonna or Marty McFly for a chance to win. A beer garden will also be available during The Crashers’ performance, so you can sip, sing, and dance your way through the evening.

Each concert in the Summer Series is free and open to the public, creating an accessible and family-friendly way to enjoy live music in a welcoming, small-town setting. These events bring together music lovers from across the region to celebrate community, creativity, and a good time.

Mark your calendars:
