Choose your best look at Pappagallo

Every day we face choices. It starts with our morning cup of java. Regular or decaf? Cream, skim or alternative? Sugar, stevia or the pink stuff? You get the picture.

We stand in our closets jam-packed full of clothing, deciding what to wear. This choice can make or break your day. Stepping out in attire that fits and flatters you instills confidence.

Figuring out your body type, styles to avoid and styles to enhance your look will make those daily choices easier. The following are the most common, along with some tips.

Inverted triangle – broad shoulders and narrow hips – you need a larger top than bottom – little definition between waist and hips

•Avoid boat necks, wide straps, halter necks, larger patterns on your top half

•Choose one-shoulder tops, wide-leg trousers, crop jackets, fit-and-flare dress, knee-length swing dress

Rectangle – your shoulders and hips are the same size with little definition in the waist

•Avoid boxy or shapeless clothes

•Choose V-necks, peplums, 3/4 sleeves, most pant styles work, sheath dresses with seaming or ruching at the waistline

Pear – hips are wider than shoulders

•Avoid drop-shoulders, oversized jackets, patterned bottoms, skinny jeans

•Choose boat necks, sweetheart necklines, print or bright color tops, straight- or wide-leg pants, wrap dresses

Hourglass – proportionate shoulders and hips with a defined waist

•Avoid baggy shapes, high necklines, oversized clothing, crop pants

•Choose V-necks, wrap tops, high-waisted pants, all skirts, fit-and-flare dresses, fitted sheath dresses

Apple – larger upper body than lower body with no defined waist

•Avoid oversized tops with skinny bottoms, crew necks, pleated skirts

•Choose monochromatic dressing, ruched-side tops, V-necks, single-breasted blazers, straight- or full-leg pants with back or side zippers, knee-length sheath dress

Every day presents a new chance to create that “first impression” through your clothing choices. Stop in Pappagallo soon to find fashions that help you look and feel your best.
