When decorating a room, it is more than furniture, paint and placement. Start your decorating journey by finding a statement piece that you just can’t live without. When decorating my own bedroom, I found two kidney pillows I wanted to tie my whole bedroom around. Sometimes it’s a Bombay piece or a striking chair that has some family meaning to it. Do not get caught up in the mindset that everything has to match and be from the same collection. It just takes one bold statement piece to turn your look around.
And a rug can be your statement piece, as well. Color, style and shape will play a key role in making the rug the WOW factor.
Truly little things are everything, so find your statement piece and start thinking about your spring updates and additions. Remember, it only takes one great piece to be the game changer.
