Handmade local soap and skincare products opens in Bowling Green

A brand-new soap shop is open for business in Bowling Green! Buff City Soap, a plant-based bath and body products company, opened a new location in Bowling Green on February 4th at 1680 Campbell Lane next to Barnes & Noble.

Known best for its handcrafted soap and skincare products, Buff City Soap prides itself on handmaking its soap locally right in the store using plant-based ingredients. Their Soap Makers spend each day whipping up natural bath and body products made free of harsh chemicals or detergents at the Soap Makery bar. Walk into the shop and, more than likely, you’ll see soap bars and bath bombs being handmade right before your eyes!

Buff City Soap offers over 30+ plant-based products like soap, bath bombs, body butter, laundry soap, shower oil and more! The soap and skincare products are available in any of their 30+ signature scents like Narcissist, Island Nectar, Coconut and Cherry Almond. With fragrances ranging from fruity to floral, there’s no doubt you’ll find your new favorite scent.

Stop in and say “Hi” to Jennifer Crockett, the Makery Manager of Buff City Soap Bowling Green. A lifelong native to the area, Jennifer is the perfect person to manage the local soap shop and introduce their plant-based products to the community. She and her team have worked hard creating a local soap line just for the Bowling Green area! The three new soap scents – Hilltop, The Cave and Vette City – are specially-named for Bowling Green landmarks and available to use as a fragrance for any in-store product!

While soap is their specialty, there are many other fan-favorite products to explore, like their laundry soap! This plant-based alternative to detergent is made with four simple ingredients and washes, softens and scents clothes all in one sitting! Pick the scent of your choice and watch the Soap Makers mix it into your laundry soap for a freshly-scented batch to use for upcoming laundry days.

Buff City Soap makes specialty lines for children, too! Bring the kids in for a fun-filled day of exploring brightly-colored soap bars and bath bombs in scents like Fruity Loopy, Jaw Breaker, Unicorn and Mermaid! They also offer a fun alternative to bath bombs called Fairy Dust, which is a container filled with crushed-up bath bombs you can sprinkle into the water to add a little fun to bath time! Kids can also decorate their very own bath truffle at the Soap Makery bar. Pick your colors and the Soap Makers will help them decorate their one-of-a-kind creation.
