Annual festival celebrates the life and musical legacy of Scottsville native and Nashville legend Norro Wilson
NorroFest returns to Dugas Park in Scottsville on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing an evening of live music to the hometown of one of country music’s most influential songwriters and producers, Norro Wilson.
This year’s festival will be headlined by Grammy Award-winning Kentucky rock and country icons The Kentucky Headhunters, with performances by Wood Box Heroes and acclaimed vocalist Jonell Mosser. Gates open at 2pm and music begins at 3pm at Dugas Park.
More than a concert, NorroFest celebrates the remarkable musical legacy of Norro Wilson, a Scottsville native whose career helped shape the sound of country music for decades.
Wilson rose from his Kentucky roots to become one of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters and producers. Over the course of his career, he wrote or co-wrote numerous hit songs and worked with some of country music’s most recognizable artists, including George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and others.
NorroFest brings that legacy home.
The festival was created by the Allen County-Scottsville Arts Council to celebrate Wilson’s contributions to music while giving the community an opportunity to experience nationally recognized artists right here in Scottsville.
The 2026 lineup brings an especially strong Kentucky connection to the stage.
Formed in Metcalfe County, The Kentucky Headhunters have spent decades creating their unmistakable blend of Southern rock, country and blues. The band earned a Grammy Award and widespread recognition following the release of its landmark album Pickin’ on Nashville and remains one of Kentucky’s most recognizable contributions to American music.
They will be joined by Wood Box Heroes, whose sound brings together bluegrass, Americana and roots music, and Jonell Mosser, a powerhouse vocalist whose career has included collaborations and performances across the Nashville music scene and beyond.
NorroFest began with a simple vision by the AC-S Arts Council to bring incredible musical talent that you might expect to see in bigger cities right here at home. Today that tradition continues in Dugas Park, a place becoming known as a gathering place for live music, recreation and community events in Scottsville and Allen County.
