Hummingbirds – Let the Wild Bird and Nature Store help you attract them

Almost everyone recognizes the familiar flash of red and green – and the sound of what seems like an extra-large bumblebee buzzing through the backyard. The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird signals the arrival of spring for many people. These tiny but mighty birds are unmistakable, with their agile flight and rapid wingbeats.

Hummers at The Wild Bird and Nature Store.

Offering fresh nectar or even planting native tubular flowers, is a great way to support them during the nesting season and keep the magic of hummingbirds in your own backyard. We have a wide variety of beautiful and unique hummingbird feeders, swings, and nectar in the shop.

You can enjoy these sweet visitors in our area through October, but leaving nectar out for them until two weeks after you spot the last one is best to ensure they get the energy they need for their flight to their winter home.
