Justin Gearlds is a successful entrepreneur and a deeply committed community advocate whose life has been defined by his “Community Focused, Service Driven” approach. From his roots in Tompkinsville, farming and working in local industries shaped his strong work ethic and vision for the future.
A Foundation in Business and Job Creation: Justin’s entrepreneurial journey began even before he graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2005 with a B.S. in Health Care Management and Marketing. At just 22, he launched Gearlds Transport Service with a single truck, growing it into a massive logistics company with over 100 trucks and 125 employees, earning him FedEx’s prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” award at 27.
He continued to build and innovate, co-owning Motley Trading Construction, which addresses Warren County’s housing needs by employing over fifty people and countless subcontractors. His ventures also include Renew By OR, a thriving aesthetic business serving over 25,000 clients, and The Tree Company, which provides essential residential and commercial tree services, including critical right-of-way clearing for over 70,000 Warren County residents. Through these diverse businesses, Justin has consistently created jobs, stimulated the local economy, and solved real-world problems for our community. His entrepreneurial achievements were recently recognized when he was honored as the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Small Business Person of the Year.
