Med Center Health & CHC Charity Ball and The Huber Family’s Story

When Marcus and Leah Grace Huber’s son Sterling arrived 71 days early, weighing just 2 pounds, 7 ounces, their world changed overnight. Sterling was placed on a ventilator in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, more than 50 miles from the family’s home.

With weeks of uncertainty ahead, Med Center Health’s Hospitality House became their home away from home. Located just steps from the hospital, it allowed Marcus and Leah Grace to stay close to Sterling while their other five children could visit on weekends and share family meals together.

Just as importantly, it relieved the financial burden of paying for weeks in a hotel. After seven weeks in the NICU, Sterling was finally strong enough to go home-and today, he continues to grow and thrive.

For the Hubers, the Hospitality House was more than a place to stay. It meant being together when being together mattered most.

THE HUBERS ARE ONE FAMILY.

Their story is part of something much bigger. Med Center Health Foundation helps patients and families across Southcentral Kentucky access care, find hope and build healthier tomorrows. And with your support, there can be many more stories like the Hubers.
