“Cardinals Appear When Angels Are Near” might be a wise tale – or is it real? When Cardinals appear, it is a symbol of hope and joy.
Their song is thought to be a message from the heavens. In Christian tradition, the Cardinal’s red feathers represent the blood of Jesus Christ, which symbolizes sacrifice and redemption. We believe the Cardinals are messengers from the spiritual world.
The Latin word cardo means hinge, and some think of the Cardinal as the hinge on the doorway to the spiritual world. Cardinals remain year ‘round and even in the cold, dark winter months, serving as a symbol of light and hope.
As we move into the holiday season, look for cardinals in your yard because, “When A Cardinal Appears An Angel Is Near.”
The Christmas season begins at Wild Bird and Nature Store on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th. We will have our Christmas Open House with special savings on Christmas items with Christmas goodies.
