At Graves Gilbert Clinic, patients are at the center of everything we do, and for Dr. Sarath Palakodeti, that means blending medical expertise with a compassionate, personal approach. His care philosophy is simple: create an experience where patients feel supported from the very first visit through every step of their journey.
“My care philosophy is all about the patient experience,” Dr. Palakodeti explains. “After a breast cancer diagnosis, patients face so many overwhelming decisions. I want them to feel confident that once they’ve come into my office, everything from diagnosis through surgery and reconstruction is taken care of.” His vision is to see a Comprehensive Breast Center come to life at Graves Gilbert Clinic – bringing Radiology, Oncology, Surgery, and Support services together under one roof for seamless, patient-focused care.
Dr. Palakodeti’s clinical interests span the full spectrum of breast care, from benign breast conditions to complex oncologic and reconstructive surgeries. He also specializes in aesthetic breast procedures such as reduction, lift, and augmentation, as well as full-body cosmetic surgery including body contouring after weight loss. Whether the focus is treatment or aesthetics, his goal remains the same: delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes that improve both health and confidence.
With October marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Palakodeti emphasizes the importance of proactive screening and prevention. “Women can begin risk assessments with their primary care provider or OB/GYN as early as age 35. For those at higher risk, earlier and more frequent screenings can save lives,” he explains. He encourages all women to begin mammograms at age 40 – or sooner if recommended – while also prioritizing lifestyle habits that reduce risk. Maintaining a healthy weight, eliminating alcohol, and performing monthly self-breast exams are simple steps that make a lasting difference.
For Dr. Palakodeti, the heart of medicine lies in connection. “Every new patient encounter is the beginning of a relationship built on trust,” he shares. “I want to know who they are and what motivates them, because patients are whole people – not just a diagnosis.” That personal connection adds value to the care experience, reminding patients they are seen, heard, and supported.
