What to wear for Fall 2025 – Pappagallo

The Dog Days of Summer are winding down, it’s time to think of cooler days ahead and what to wear. I remember eagerly awaiting the arrival of the “Seventeen” back-to-school fashion issue, glossy pages packed with all the “must-haves” for Fall. Most fashion magazines have gone digital now, but I still feel the thrill of the new season ahead.

Winter styles arriving daily at Pappagallo.

It’s time to add some fun to our wardrobes, and “take a walk on the wild side.” From classic leopard and snakeskin to zebra, animal prints are bringing boldness back to fashion.

Although it really never goes out of style, leopard dominates Fall 2025. Outerwear, dresses, suiting accessories -head-to-toe leopard.

Plush and cozy fabrics abound, with the emphasis on comfort and warmth. Faux fur appears everywhere – in coats, trim and accessories – hats, scarves and bags. Shearling, boucle and plush velvet are also important.

Statement coats appeared on all the runways – many featuring animal print and faux fur. Adding a dramatic coat to your wardrobe elevates your look – often that is your first impression on others.

Separates are set to become one of the biggest upcoming trends. Neutrals in cream, brown, grey and soft pink in blazers, trousers, midi skirts, and pencil skirts look polished and professional.

Adding a slim-leg silhouette to your wardrobe is easy and works with a variety of different shoe styles. Skinny is not dead!

The Pantone Color of the Year, Mocha Mousse, is a rich, warm brown that lends itself to all the newest styles. It is featured prominently in leopard prints. It also pairs beautifully with butter yellow, blue and pink. Merlot, moody plum and all shades of green made appearances, as well. Black and navy are timeless.
