Teen Angel’s 15th Annual Donation Blast aims to brighten the holidays for local teens

For 15 years, Teen Angel has been a lifeline for local teenagers who might otherwise face the holidays without gifts or support. This December, the community has the opportunity once again to help make the season brighter through the program’s annual Donation Blast, sponsored by Crocker Law Firm.

The event will take place on Friday, December 5, from 6am to 4pm at Q Coffee Emporium – NEW LOCATION FOR 2025, where Teen Angel volunteers will be stationed throughout the day to accept tax-deductible contributions. Donations of cash, checks, and credit cards will all be accepted, along with gift cards to popular retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Meijer, Target, Kohl’s, and stores within Greenwood Mall.

This year, like always, every donation will have double the impact. Crocker Law Firm has pledged to match all individual contributions made during the Donation Blast, allowing the community’s generosity to stretch even farther. For those unable to attend in person, donations can also be made via PayPal at paypal.me/communityeducation.

Merry Christmas from the team at Hunt Auctioneers and Real Estate Group.

Teen Angel began in 2010 as an initiative of Vision – a Multi-agency Council of Warren County – which stepped up when local Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSCs) identified a crucial unmet need: teens being left out of Christmas donation programs. Since then, the program has grown into a remarkable annual tradition. Over the past decade and a half, Teen Angel has raised more than $382,000, providing Christmas assistance to over 2,500 teenagers thanks to strong partnerships with FRYSCs, local agencies, businesses, and countless community donors.

Organizers say the need remains significant, but so does the community’s generosity.

“Teen Angel depends on the support of people who believe every teen deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued even on Christmas morning,” said Joshua Smith, Teen Angel Coordinator. “Even a small donation can make a meaningful difference.”

Anyone interested in supporting this year’s Donation Blast or learning more about the program can contact Teen Angel at 270-842-4281 or jsmith@commed.us.

As Teen Angel marks its 15th year, the mission remains the same: bringing joy, dignity, and hope to teens who need it most. This holiday season, the community is invited to help continue that tradition.
