Discover the heartwarming mission of The Center for Courageous Kids

Nestled amidst the serene countryside of Scottsville, Kentucky, lies a place where courage knows no bounds and dreams take flight. Welcome to The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK), a haven of hope and healing for children living with various medical complexities.

Center for Courageous Kids... CCK... a year-round facility offering FREE camps to children with disabilities

At CCK, every moment is infused with compassion and joy, offering children and their families a respite from the challenges they face daily. Founded in 2004 by a visionary woman, Elizabeth Turner Campbell, CCK has become a beacon of light for countless families across the nation.

Since opening in 2008, what sets CCK apart is its unwavering commitment to providing transformative experiences through a myriad of recreational activities tailored to the unique needs of each child. From horseback riding and fishing to music therapy and miniature golf, every activity is designed to nurture confidence and resilience.

Beyond the fun-filled adventures, CCK offers a supportive community where families can connect with others who understand their journey. Here, friendships blossom and bonds are forged, creating a network of support that extends far beyond the campgrounds.

But perhaps the most remarkable aspect of CCK is the profound impact it has on the lives of its campers. Through empowering programs and unconditional acceptance, children discover their inner strength and learn that anything is possible.

Recreational camping for children is reimagined at CCK. Take this opportunity to get involved and help us continue to spread hope, joy, and courage to children facing life’s toughest challenges.
